It's been a while ! Our BC Football Section is in good health, our results of late generally good and now we are celebrating players "18th Birthdays" which makes a change to the 50th or 60th that we frequently acknowledge !!

Gents,

A Happy New Year to you all and lets hope for a successful and rewarding one on and off the field of play. Our Section has had a winning start to 2012 with two good wins last weekend with the 3rds showing outstanding form winning 6-0 in an ESPZEN League game while the 1st/2nd combined team beat the newly formed and ultra competitive Singapore Welsh 2-0 ! Three games have been arranged for this weekend; let's keep this positive momentum going !!

A fantastic unbeaten Saturday for all 3 teams last weekend highlighted by the tremendous comeback by the 1sts (1-4 down at half-time to win 6-4 !), the 2nds win a very competitive battle 2-1 while the 3rds showed great determination by equalizing with the the last kick of the game to make it 2-2 !! Let's keep this momentum going into the matches on Saturday before we celebrate our successful year in the evening !

Mixed results of late as we now enter a key final 10 weeks of 2011 ! 1sts need to get their season going, 2nds need to build on recent solid results while 3rds need another win or two to get into their ESPZEN debut season play-offs ! Let's get fit, focused and start to fulfill !

Lots happening in the British Club Football Section so it's time for an update ! Great effort last Saturday by the 3rd X1 with a wonderful late winning goal by our youngest member, Sam Woolhead ! Almost a deserved victory for the 1st/2nds combined friendly against the Germans. We can reveal now that in order to have secured our 54 Oktoberfest tickets we were not allowed to beat the Germans and hence the late 2 goals conceeded; at least we have 6 tables at the beer fe...

A fine feast of fabulous & furious football was witnessed by a swelling crowd last Saturday when the firsts were extremely unlucky to lose in a classic match against the Gaelic Lions (certainly luck of the Irish) 2-1 and the 3rds drew 3-3 with a last-kick equaliser by the lucky oppo (playing in the appalling Chelsea kit).
